"There is no shame in not hitting your goals, there's just shame in not knowing why" I've repeated this to my clients at least a 100 times. It's the truth. Everyone feels immense disappointment when they fail to achieve their goals, it's only natural. But there's nothing wrong with it. It's kinda expected a majority of the time. What's wrong is not knowing why... In sports, you can re-watch the game, see that the plays weren't right, the personnel wasn't perfect and the game plan was off. So you make adjustments, and continue to put in the work, hoping you'll achieve the goal next year. In business, I see many people fail to hit their goals, get pissed off at the market or worse the 'algorithm' and then try some next shiny ball strategy that some hot shot new coach is offering. Now like business, sports sometimes evolve and some hot new strategy sweeps the league, but it's rare and it's often due to some out of this world talent. Like Steph Curry in Basketball revolutionizing the 3-Point shot. Or Tom Brady in Football deflating the balls... ok that was a cheap shot. See we chase these shiny balls failing to realize that 9 times out of 10 in business, it's not a case of new or shiny... It's a case of doing the basics, the fundamentals, but at a higher level, and then tracking our progress with those basics. We then turn business into a game of: "Math or Drama" - a Math problem is simple: do more, a Drama problem is slightly more complex but usually solved by looking at the math and reverse engineering the problem. Now in January, we average a client a day, we finished the last week of Jan with a $35k week. No means a record week, but it was the 6th best month on record and the best Jan of all time. So what "tiny fix" did we make to achieve this? Simple... we created a "re-offer" strategy. Where we'd offer something new or the same thing just with upgraded support to people who bought from us before, or had been in our world for a while. And out of the 30 odd clients who joined in Jan... 70% of them had paid us before with half of those people who have paid us $4k+ before 20% of them had been in our world for 6 months+ 10% of them had read 10+ emails and joined at least 1 lead magnet of ours So the people who bought from us, were firmly in our world... we just needed to make them the right offer. Now this will present a new problem as if we've cleared a lot of the pipeline, February needs to be focused on building up the pipeline again... but because I'm not in the shiny ball game, I know what to do... it's simple and we already have a lot of MRR locked away... I know that 90% of people reading this need to work on the basics, get tracking, get accountable and set up systems so they can grow without the complexity... If you find yourself thinking "I'm apart of this 90%" then reply to this email with the word "Clients" and I'll shoot you the details of our Client Accelerator offer where we will help you set up the systems for a banger 2025.... Your offer doesn't suck, but this is the problem... Ask yourself, when was the last time you bought from someone who COLD DM'd you? Maybe never, maybe once or twice, but it's rare... so why do people keep doing it? There's a whole thing on the law of large numbers here, but let's not get into that today. People Cold DM with the hopes that they some how stumble upon the 3% of people in the market who are ready to buy. Cold DMs are actually less about what you say and more about timing. I...
